Micah Oelze is Assistant Professor of Latin American History at New York's Adelphi University. His research on music, psychology, and pedagogy are geared toward helping fellow artists and teachers become more effective in what they do.
   
Oelze plays a variety of music styles from across Latin America–especially Brazilian chorinho–and employs musical pedagogies in the classroom, the concert hall, and in community spaces.
